✈️ AA Award Holds Cut, United-JetBlue Partnership & New Flagship Suites

Hey there points enthusiasts! Welcome to another episode of Miles & Points Daily. I'm Lucas, and I've got some fascinating updates from the world of travel rewards to share with you today.

First up, big news for American Airlines AAdvantage members. The airline is reducing their award ticket hold policy from five days to just one day. While this is definitely a downgrade, American remains the only U.S. airline still offering award holds, so we should be grateful for what we can get. My tip here: if you're planning to book an award ticket, make sure you're ready to commit within that 24-hour window.

Next, let's talk about the major United Airlines and JetBlue partnership that's brewing. According to reports from View from the Wing, this could be a three-step plan starting with United getting 20 flight slots at JFK airport. What's really interesting is that this could potentially lead to a full takeover of JetBlue by United in the future. This could mean big changes for both airlines' loyalty programs, so stay tuned for updates.

Speaking of United, they're making changes to their uniform policy. Starting May 28th, flight attendants will only be allowed to wear American flag pins on their uniforms. This replaces their current policy that allows 18 different approved pins.

In hotel news, American has finally received its first Boeing 787 Dreamliners that will feature their new Flagship Suite Preferred seats. These suites will include sliding privacy doors and a chaise lounge option - definitely something to look forward to if you're planning to redeem miles for business class on these routes.

Before we wrap up, I've got an exciting credit card offer to share. The Prime Visa is currently offering an instant 150-dollar Amazon gift card upon approval for Prime members. You can get this card by clicking the link in our shownotes.

And now, a word from our sponsor: Looking for the best award flights? Use AwardTravelFinder.com to search availability across Qatar Airways, British Airways, Cathay Pacific and more. Try it for free with our link in the shownotes.
