✈️ Bilt Rent Rewards Drop, Phoenix-Asia Route & New AA Lounge

Welcome to the Miles and Points Daily Podcast! I'm Lucas, and today we've got some exciting updates from the world of travel rewards. Let's dive right in!

Big news from Bilt today, as View from the Wing reports they're adjusting their rent payment rewards structure. Starting July twenty-first, the earning rates for most partner credit cards will be reduced by fifty percent. However, there's a silver lining - travel partner cards like Alaska Airlines could soon earn three times points on rent payments.

In airline news, Phoenix is getting its first-ever direct flight to Asia! Taiwan's Starlux Airlines will launch three weekly flights between Phoenix and Taipei using their Airbus A-three-fifty-nine hundred aircraft. This exciting development comes as part of the CHIPS Act investment in the region.

American Airlines travelers have something to look forward to in Philadelphia. This Thursday, they're opening a stunning new Flagship Lounge and Admirals Club. According to View from the Wing, guests can expect champagne at the door, made-to-order food options, and a dedicated chef station.

For Delta flyers, there's good news about those complimentary earbuds in coach. While Delta stopped proactively offering them on May fifteenth, they're still available - you just need to ask for them. This applies to both regular economy and Comfort Plus cabins.

Here's an interesting development from Southwest Airlines - they're becoming the first U.S. carrier to restrict the use of power banks in bags during flights. What makes this particularly challenging is that Southwest doesn't offer power outlets at most of their seats.

For hotel enthusiasts, I've got a quick tip - Kimpton Hotels has announced their new secret password for this summer: 'Social Sent Me.' Just mention this at check-in for a special surprise perk at participating properties.

Looking for award travel opportunities? Virgin Atlantic just launched a fantastic promotion offering flights between the U.S. and UK for as low as four thousand eight hundred points each way. You can find booking details in our shownotes.
