In some concerning news, a Frontier Airlines fee dispute took an unexpected turn when an Iranian PhD student was threatened with deportation over a one hundred dollar carry-on bag fee. The incident, which occurred on New Year's Eve, shows how important it is to be familiar with airline fees before traveling and to arrive at the gate with plenty of time to resolve any issues.

There's also some exciting news from Etihad Airways, who have just unveiled new first and business class suites for their single-aisle jets. The new cabins will be launching on their Airbus A321LR aircraft in August, bringing a premium experience to shorter routes.
